Payments

Paying for a blade should be the least interesting part of the order. Checkout takes cards and the two big wallets through Stripe, one of the most widely used payment processors on the web.

Stripe handles the card details end to end: they are entered at checkout, encrypted in transit and never touch our servers. What we receive is confirmation that the payment cleared, at which point your blade joins the weld queue.

Ordering the same blades every month? A trade account adds invoicing and Bacs payment; the trade accounts page has the details.

How prices show VAT

Prices across the site are shown ex VAT by default, with a toggle to show inc VAT instead: trade buyers reclaim it, home users pay it, and both deserve the honest figure up front. VAT at 20% is itemised in the cart and at checkout, never folded invisibly into the price.

Every order confirmation shows the VAT breakdown against our VAT number, GB355975213, which stays ribboned as sample data until the trading entity is confirmed.

Invoicing for repeat buyers

Card at checkout suits a first order; a standing account suits the fiftieth. Trade accounts bring saved blade specifications, invoicing and Bacs settlement so a reorder takes a minute, not a purchase meeting. Requests open at launch and the trade accounts page explains what to expect.
